I guess this is the answer for qs you've asked me in private messages) The only thing - he did not show all switch modes - only parallel for both basses. A lot of sterling worshippers like it for the series mode.

Hi and thanks. Your message says it all. Regarding the clip: I only compared the parallel mode of the Sterling with the StingRay because in my opinion comparing series or single coil mode of the Sterling with a Ray does not make sense.

@nurnay: This is not a promo-video for the Sterling or Ray.

It shows the fundamental difference in sound between the two types of basses under equal conditions.

So basically Alinco vs Ceramics... more than actually comparing the Sterling vs Ray. Under these equal conditions this review is to see how CLOSE they can come to each other
