Okay. I finally got the StingRay 5 I was going after.

There were some tough times in the initial stages of the deal, which many of you read about here. That was then, this is now. So no posts about that please. I worked a deal with Will, and he was more than accomodating in getting the deal done. :)

Heres my new Blue Dawn StingRay 5:

Yow! Awesome bass!

Take off that pickguard, man! :D

A couple things.

I have always liked rosewood, but I am really, really into this maple neck. It sounds sooooo good.

I also just put this one on the bathroom scale and it weighs 9.4 pounds. isnt this light for a SR5??

Good looking SR 5 congrats. Mine is lighter than my Jazz so much I can gig it much longer than any bass I have had so far. I haven't wieghed it since I didn't want to blow the charm of no back ache.

Enjoy that and PM when it goes up for sale.

ok so here it is. ive seen some blue dawn with a light blue center. but this one has a turqoise-ish center. could there be some variance? or is it just the way the pictures are taken?

The specs on the EB site list the weight as 9 lbs 5 oz for an SR4, 10 lbs for an SR5, but says it varies slightly.

My SR4 is 9 lbs 10 oz, if my kitchen scales are to be believed.

haha :)
