OK, I admit I'm just discovering, after over (ahem..) 30 years as a player, the magic and wonder of these fine instruments..
A point of that wonder is how the body planks are joined together (see photo). Has this been a EB/MM feature for some time? None of my other "planks" seem to have this unique feature. I am noteably impressed.

Care to offer some insight on the body joinery pic I attached to the orig post in this thread?
This process seems to have a much higher level of integrity structurally, and I assume there are acoustic benefits also?
