WANTED: NOS rear mount locking nut for 2001 EVH/Axis

Greetings all in EBMM land,

I am after a replacement locking nut for my 2001 Axis. I contacted MM directly and they said they no longer have any of these parts available and the best aftermarket option was a Floyd Rose R2 nut. I tried several of these, thinking perhaps the casting was off and there might be different tolerances with the mounting holes..but no, it doesn't line up nor have the correct string spacing as the MM nut. I have also tried the current Gotoh equivalents and same deal, the radius is wildly out.

What I am really chasing is an NOS locking nut for the axis from this era, I see they have been sold on Reverb.com and are out there somewhere. If someone could point me in the right direction or give me a recommendation, that would make my day!

Let us know if you find anything. I have a 2013 and I tend to strip the things out. The R2 leaves space between the nut and fretboard.

Thank you, a kind sole put me on to a Japan auction site where a NOS nut was listed from the EX Axis era. It fits well and does the job. I may keep an eye out for another one just for a spare.

Yes, I've tried all the available gotoh ones and no deal!
