Vintage Natural/MHS Sterling *PICS*

I just got in a 99 Sterling that is a little different shade of Natural than any of my other Natural EB Basses. It has a Matching Headstock and both are a little darker than the Natural basses I have seen come out of EB. In the Pics it looked like Trans GOld but it is indeed Natural but it looks more like my 1970 Jazz Bass than any of my other EB Basses?

Maybe it's an aged natural finish? -shrugs- And, yes, pics please! :D
 
Actually...the colour list is ambiguous as to whether there is a Vintage Natural or just plain Natural :(

They may have the colour printed in the neck pocket???

( but then again, they wouldn't have an upcharge on natural unless it was something special :confused: )

There was no Vintage Natural...It is just a Natural, but if you post the S/N I will look it up for you
 
Maybe it's a "Natural Premium Ash Body" with a matching headstock. Bass Central is selling a Stingray one of those right now and the finish looks very similar to your bass.
 
If that is the correct serial number, it started out as a trans gold built on 8/1/99
 
That is funny because it looked like a Trans Gold in the pics I got from the seller but as you can see it looks much more like a Natural now. It looks nothing like the Trans Gold SR5 we have in the shop. I guess colors can vary from year to year and can look different on different woods. I love it no matter what we call it.
 
I have seen some trans gold axes, turn into naturals when they have been left in a store window etc. Might have happened here
