Weather and the JP Fretboard?

Over the past few weeks my JP fretboard is drying up real quick and it has a dull look to it (almost whitish in some places). The dryness is obvious when I try to play some fast runs and I experience excess friction. I use lemon oil on the fretboard whenever I restring, and it looks great for a day or so before the dryness returns. I keep the guitar in its case when I don't use it and always wipe down the strings and the metal hardware. I don't know if this is due to the weather (since my other guitars with rosewood fretboards look just fine). Since my JP6 is just about 10 months old, should I be using anything else on it to get the lustre on the fretboard?

Has anyone else had this problem? Any advice and suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Ah, yeah I forgot all about that, it may contain silicone
