well i measured my bass but it seems like everything is perfect, but i get this annoying buzz on my strings, all over. what should i do?

Sounds like you need to raise the string height if it's all over.

Just try raising the string height from the bridge saddles. It doesn't require any scary turning of the truss wheel.

The way I see it...if the strings are buzzing all up and down the neck, then the truss setting is ok but the strings are set too low for your playing style.

True...maybe a combo of both. You're right though, generally they won't buzz everywhere if it is just the neck bowed.

This is not 100% accurate but has always worked for me:
Buzz <12 fret = truss rod
Buzz >12 fret = saddle height
Buzz <>12 fret = both
and turn truss rod counter-clockwise to alleviate buzzing.

What I believe he means to say is that buzzing that occurs from frets 1-12 is due to truss rod, from frets 12-23 (or greater) is due to saddles, and buzzing that occurs on all frets is a combination of both.
And there is such a thing as <>, it means not equal to, and can also be represented by != (at least in computers). In this instance moondog meant it as greater than and less than the 12th fret, which, technically would be <12>, I think

I had a buzzing up & down the neck problem, which a fret dress, proper set up and neck shim alleviated, but I have a setup guy who is very enthusiastic about what he does. He was concerned that the angle that the strings broke over the bridge was not acute enough, thus the shim. The guy came with high references, so I took his advice, and now it plays like a dream.

sweet. I totally left out the 12th fret! nice pickup jub, though if it buzzes only on the 12th fret, there's something weird going on.
