Whammy/Tremolo Bar has play in it

My Silhouette's whammy bar has a bit of play in it. I'm not talking about the swinging/rotating (around the anchor point) action, but the pulling and pushing of the bar away or from the body. It's very minute, but there's some there.

After pulling the bridge out i noticed there's a shaft hooked to the body of the bridge where the base portion of the trem bar feeds into. Seems to have some sort of nut, but it's impossible to turn. Perhaps that's not what i should be turning!

Any ideas on resolving this loose trem bar issue?

If you have removed the trem arm alot, the part you are talking about can get bent. The allen screw that holds it in should come out. If you get it out rotate the detente pin or turn it around so it lays flat. That should take care of it.
