He's altered the layout of the tuning pegs to make it look more like a Stingray... Regular Jay Tursers have a 2+2 arrangement...

It has a different stringray neck but I've been assured that it is of equal value.

I personally like the fact that they "bought it for about $1000." Hello check the MSRP the bass could probably be had for agout $250-$275 new if you shopped it out... not to mention a $300 reserve... I needed a good laugh this morning
