What makes a Great Bass Player?

LEDs in your bass. Ones that make patterns. Like Christmas lights but better. Also very nice shiny finishes on the body of your bass. Maybe something else that changes color. Like the pickguard. Yes. That's the key to being a great bassist. You must have a color-changing pickguard, else be associated with the peasants and serfs of the bass-playing world. That is, with color-changing pickguards, you'll be officially in the nobility of bass players - kickin' it with big guys like Stanley Clarke and Victor Wooten.

Tone :D

Work with the drummer :D

Rule of thumb...less is better :D

Don't become involved in band politics

Don't compete with the lead player's ego...big no no! :(

Don't take wives/girlfriends to gigs  (well, there are exceptions...but a few women together....all hell breaks loose)

Be kool

(throw in a Dorian moving up and down in semi-tone....hee hheee)
