Thanks for the advice, but it hasn't been a problem for the 18 years I have been playing bass.

No not cocky, just pointing out the fact that it hasn't been a problem.

What has been a problem is when you come back from a three week holiday and then gig three nights in a row. Being a finger player ,at the end of the third gig, I had a blister literally formed on top of another blister from the night before - Now that hurt!!!

I use fingers mostly but now and again i'll use a pick. Dunno what size though cos i usually borrow a "thick pick" from our guitarist..

I used to use them, but haven't in a long time except when I want to do something really stacatto....

I can't believe I'm going to say this, but I'd like to try one of those big goofy felt picks. Anyone use those? They've been around for decades, I used to see them all the time and I'd think, "What kind of idiot....?"

And now I fear I've become exactly that kind of idiot.

i use my thumb, pointer, and middle finger but when i do use a pick i actually like to use the jim dunlop jazz picks. even though they are small, they are very strong and i have received the best tone from those. it not the jazz pick, then i use the alligator picks, blue. but stick with fingers, its natural.

Yes, of course you do.

I use Dunlop 1.14mm Tortex. I wish I could say that I use my fingers, but I've never been able to wing it. (I converted from guitar, so I was used to the pick.)

I've bought so money different styles of picks, that I have a mini tackle box full of assorted styles.

I've bought 72 lots of Dunlop Triangle Delrin 71s, and even Studdy Triangles, from 1.50 to 3.0 (These have a nice fat sound) and Dunlop Tortex Triangle 88's.

I now solely use the Triangle 88s, and if I ever run out, I will fall back on my .76 Tortex Triangles.

Want to try any triangle pick? I can almost guarentee you I got it.
