What strings do you use?

I use GHS Boomers!!!!!! I always use 9 gauge and i find the Super Slinkys are too sproingy sounding! Do the heavier gauge Ernies sound this way as well?

I have to apologize to Ernie Ball.......Turns out the sproingy,rattling sound i thought was because of the strings is in fact because of the guy who was setting my guitars up was adjusting my neck too tight! I took it to a REAL luthier and he explained what was going on. I will go back to using Ernie Ball strings!

Elixir 10's for my electric - 12's for my acoustic. I feel 12's give me a lot more depth and that 'piano' like tone when they're on my acoustic... and these strings last longer than any other. The tens just give you that much more girth in the lower strings - I'm being completely honest when I say I can't hear the difference between 9's and 10's on the top 2 strings... for me it's just a tension thang

I usually play through a set of strings a week and I have to find a string that really holds up and is not too expensive to replace as often as I do! Right now i'm playing the PRS 9.5 and they seem to be holding up really well. Going on week two! Not lost their tone "ZIP" yet!

For my acoustic i have been using the EXP strings and I have switched to the DR ZEBRA strings. If you are looking for a solid Acoustic/Electric string this is it... combines the best of both worlds into one string. I'm Sold on this one... I just have to dial in the gauge that I prefer! (I'm on 11's right now)

ive been all about DR HiBeams for a few years now (for bass). I really dig 'em ... theyre nice n bright. I used to be abig Blue Steel fan but, for some unexplainable reason, i always break em. after a few hours of use .... pop, done, over. theyre the only sting ive consistantly been able to break since i first started playing.

i use DR Fat Beams on my Fender Jazz tho

ok ... update: i no longer own any fenders and the DR's have been replaced with Stainless Steal Super Slinkys

Depending on the gig, 11's or 12's.

I did use EB strings for a while but I could never get em to stick around for too long. So now I'm using Dean Markley's and I've had one set for just over two weeks now (really should change em!) and they still do fine. Just a bit of stretching to start off with and then they stay in tune and sound lively for ages.

Mind you, most sets I use stay in tune because of the wonderful locking tuners on my Axis SS (flame sunburst... mmmm)....
