I said, "I don't know why you'd want to...bunch of ugly bassists wanking around all day and drinking all night." I suggested she could be my "Dean Girl", which I then had to explain, but that didn't work out as well as one might think.

She finally says, "Is Sterling going?"

I say, "I doubt it."

She says, "Oh, well, never mind then. I really only wanted to go if Sterling was going to be there."

I know that she is a smart woman. You do realize that she now knows that Sterling won't be with you when you are in Arizona. Which means while you're in AZ at SOBII, she could always call up Sterling for a little visit to Texas....
