What would this be worth?

I am trying to get a handle on what price range would be fair for the following bass. I don't have any pics of it, but I will try to describe it as best as possible.

Ernie Ball Musicman Stingray
(From the serial on the bridge, it looks like it was built around May of 1991)

- Natural wood sealed finish (ash i believe)
- maple neck and fretboard
- 3 band EQ active 9volt pickup system (stock)
- 4 string
- bridge with mute pads
- neck mount with 6 screws
- gig bag

The bass is in really good condition. Very little fret or fingerboard wear. Electronics are very clean. Overall condition of the bass I would say 9 out of 10.

What should i pay or not pay for this. The seller is asking $1000.

ask him what happend to the hard shell case
maybe you could talk him down to 950 or 900

i wouldnt pay it just cause i could go down to my guitar store and pick one up for 1100
