One 20' cable to effects, another 20' cable to the amp.

Straight in via 15' cable, unless I'm using the wireless (rare, I never get on stages big enough!).

Heh heh....heh....heh......

*ahem*

I use some custom built cables in obnoxious colors to keep them from running off at gigs. Iv'e got one 10' orange cable from my bass to my Fishman EQ, and then a 3' blue cable from the Fishman to the amp.

I also keep a 20' spare in my gigbag just in case, but I find anything longer than 10' just gets tangled up.

I've been told "it's long enough", though I wouldn't mind hearing "it's too long" from time to time...

Oh... Sorry.... :p

In my practice room, it's 10' to the effects and 3' to the amp. Live, it's a mix of either 10' or 20' at each end, depending on space and set-up.

I keep a pair of each length in my bag - Planet Waves for me. :)

About a 5-8' Monster cable, plugged straight into the amp. Does its job well - been going strong for three+ years now. :)

I use an 18 ft. mogami cable to the pedal board and another one to the avalon.
and a 3rd for a spare.

I use 12' left handed Monster Cable for left hand bass guitar. Straight on one end and left angle on the other.

I also carry a couple 20' spares, they must be right handed because they were more available and cheaper. ;)

There was a news article in Guitarist (UK magazine) a few years ago about some new reverse-wound guitar strings that allowed right handed guitarists to emulate Hendrix better...

I don't remember which year it was but, for some reason, I remember it was the April edition :D

A bunch of 20 footers and some short patch leads cover me for any size stage, wired or wireless. A 20' into my FX board and another 20' from that into my rig gives me plenty of room to move when I'm not going wireless.
