where to order? finishes on Axis?

Hey everybody!
To make things short, I'm hooked on the Axis!! I just recently tried one out and it was just a revelation. The JMP and Silhouette are pretty good to but the Axis took it hands down.

I want to order one... because the dealers I've spoken to don't have any in stock.

They say it's a 4 month wait. It's really a pitty it takes so long. Any comments?

I'd order one from MF or Woodwind and Brassswind but they don't carry the finish that I'd like.

Do you think they can place an order for me with the finish that I'm interested in (Black Cherry Burst)? Maybe because they are large dealers they have some preference on the waiting list...

Then again, maybe they just have the most popular finishes to make orders easier to handle.

How about ordering from EBMM directly? Is that possible?
 
You need to order from a dealer. Can't order directly from EBMM. I don't think it matters what finish you get. It's still going to take just as long. You can order whatever you want with regards to the finish and any options available. I'd order from a knowledgeable dealer like Pete DuBaldo on this forum rather than maybe some other dealer. I don't know how knowledgeable your EBMM dealers are. In fact, I don't know how knowledgeable most of the EBMM dealers are around here. Besides, another reason to trust a guy like Pete is that he's passionate about the product as well. There are a number of other dealers here on the forum too. I'm just more familiar with how Pete does business.

It seems like I have to hurry up because I want this guitar by Christmas.

Funny, and I thought I was gettin way ahead of myself for thinking about ordering so much time in advanced. Bad habit from these times, "everything now, at once".

I'll be checking the pics thread. I'm getting more and more convinced the Black cherry Burst is the finish for me but it's always hard to tell just from pictures. A bunch of different pictures should help make up my mind.

Pearl Red Burst would have been the color of choice but it only comes with the JP.

I like Translucent Red in some pictures, but in some others it's too bright.
 
I just ordered a Axis Super Sport in Black Cherry w/a maple neck and matching headstock.
I ended up ordering through guitar center, they are most willing to move on price since they are all about moving volume.

Good Luck, and enjoy the weight.......Mine was ordered on Aug. 20th, should make the winter go by fast...
