Hey guys,

I was wondering, where is the best place to get white pickup covers?

Im thinking of getting a SR 4HH:
White, matching headstock
Rosewood
Tort, or black PG

... and I want some white (not cream) pickup covers.

Are these available? If so, where? Link?

Thanks!
J.

I don't know if they were "new" style as they were all on the wall but when I recently went to Guitar Center Hollywood there were at least 3 basses with white pickup covers. They were not used basses either.

I really like them myself!

New, or not, they had to be Stingray 5H with white pickguards, which is the only model that has a white pickup available.

Theoretically Jordie, you COULD paint the existing covers white. Not saying it would work that well, but if you know what you're doing, and are 100% set on the color, it could happen. Just sayin'.

White covers do exist, I grabbed a few off ebay early this year. I don't remember the seller or I'd share it with you. Last time I checked ebay they didn't show up. If you're going to put them on an HH it'll take some work and a new pickguard.

Yep, those old style 4 string versions exist, as well as the older style found on single H SR5. But the poster has a HH, so...

I thought that with the new models (and the older ones as well) the plastic "cover" was glued to the rest of the pick-up. No?

Thos white ones from the bay look like they were black and painted white.
And they are not the same "white"

I just swapped in a couple of stock Stingray pickups I had laying around to see how it would sound. It was good but not better than the stock neo pickups so I put it back to stock.

The ebay pickups are solid white plastic, my camera is crap.

Beautiful bass, that limited Japan one. I had a beautiful 2 band/3 band pair like that before the HHs came out and I sold them off.

The black ones definitely add more warmth to your tone. The white ones sound more aggressive, but too thin for my taste...:D

Bumping an old thread, I would LOVE the option of getting white pickups in a Bongo. LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT. Even keeping the black knobs I'd take those pickups in a heartbeat. I'm thinking of getting a Sky Blue Bongo6 with a white guard and white pickups would really enhance the look.

Just a special order option with an upcharge is all I'm asking for here! :)
