Who would you send a '99 Axis to for a refinish

Haven't been on here in FOREVER, but I still have and love my Balls!! I have a '99 Axis (black w/ the cream pickguard) and the paint is cracking/ separating. Who would you guys suggest to do a re-fin job?

I don't care about wear marks, thus I don't think that a re-fin is good idea : keep the money and buy a new Music Man !

I have told this story before so for those that are sick of seeing them I apologize. That said, I have a '97 and '99 Axis Sports that were in the exact same condition you have. Both were refinished by Guitar Paint Guys GuitarPaintGuys - Custom Guitar Finishing and did a great job. Their work and variety is addictive. That said, on the '99 I never got my original color because of availability, changes to help speed things along, and nothing was ever sped along. First one was 6-9 months as I recall, second was over a year. And the general communication is not great. I like the guys, they do fine work and were very well priced, but their just too busy it seems. I tell you this as an option, one that I have used three times, and as a testament to what can be accomplished.

Another option I considered was 'Stike' at ROWYCO KUSTOMS - Home Page . Another quality guy with a great reputation. Higher prices but better communication and turnaround. Several times I wish I have bit the bullet and gone with him.

RS Guitarworks in Winchester, KY did my Reflex -- taking it from the ho hum vintage burst to the AWESOME emerald sparkle. Before and after is below.

They were not the cheapest but I selected them because (a) I could drive to them -- only about 40m from me (b) they could do some other work for me and also did full reassembly and setup as part of it and (c) they have a great reputation and are generally awesome guys. I would definitely go to them again.
