You know, I can't even remember if my Cincinatti pal John is a member here (bottomdweller everywhere else), but he showed up at my door late Thursday and stayed most of the weekend and we had ourselves a fine time.

John is a member in good standing of the Porkopolis Bass Club, which includes Bob Nyswonger, and that's not a bad club to be in.

Anyhoo, we broke out the Bongos Thursday night and stayed up until 5 am, something I seldom do anymore, drinking Ciroc vodka and fondling basses.

I can prove it:

You can't visit Camp Bovine without playing the Biff Bongo, right?

And then there's Old Faithful.

John's favorite, and the one we played most of the night, was the single H.
Someone go wake Sterling up.

Yes, I also played, although after a certain point it was not a good idea.

Bongos rock. Single hummer Bongos rock endlessly.

So far, the only person I've let play the Stealthy One is P-Duckk...

...but I have yet to get down to Dall-Ass! :D

YES! CIROC!

You are unrelentless, aren't you?

I have a billion dollars worth of EBMM basses here, and I'm foisting 'em on everyone under the sun, including people who don't even play bass, but let me have a Fender poster or some 'other' vodka, and it's like I spit on Leo's grave!

This is what I really like about you, by the way.

I can't get away with ANYTHING.

But seriously, not only did we down a full bottle of Ciroc on Thursday night, I felt guilty on Friday and bought a big old liter or whatever it is of Ketel One, so fear not, I remain faithful to the rich and famous.

Did you call me earlier? I was trying to find someone to babysit my cat and heard the phone beeping and tried to hit redial, but came up with only "Ernie Ball Inc" or something and then you were 'unavailable'.

And I've been sitting here tonight, thumping away to actual jazz with the Biff Bongo. Where are you, Sterling In The Desert?
