Will Stingray hardshell case fit 4 & 5 string bass?

Hello,

I have a Stingray 5, which I bought used, but without a case. Now someone has an original Music Man hardshell case up for sale on the internet, saying it will fit both Stingray 4 and 5 string models. Is this always the case? (Pun intended).
And what would be a decent price for it?

Help me out, please.

Update:
I came across an original MM case in a shop today. Had been orphaned when the instrument itself was stolen from the shop.
So I bought it - brandnew - for 75 Euros, which is even less than "used" price over here. :)
