It looks nice with a couple colors. Candy apple red and sherwood green Fenders with matching headstocks come to mind.

Well i was watchin ummm what is there name 18 visions video and was looking at mick and a light hit it and the hardware looked gold and on his bass its looked nice normally its look ugly but i want it now lol... no speail orders?

Yeah. Sometimes they did non-standard finishes aswell.

But there's a place in Florida that does the gold on them as well.

The one below is a 1977.

My current bass has gold hardware (bought used, and definitely not because of the gold). A bit pimpy and over the top for my tastes. It'd look a lot better with black or black chrome hardware.
