Would a Luke neck bolt on a GC 'Floyded' Silhouette Special without issue?

Wondering if a GC Silhouette special with floyd rose and 24 frets would take a Luke neck without issue. I love the fact that the Silo has the recessed floyd. If I could put a luke neck on it without issue it might just be phenomenal with the HH config.

I think I can get a silo with floyd and a Luke for nearly the same price as getting a luke 1 reissue from Europe. I would also have an HH config which would be pretty cool too.

Also would it be possible to have EBMM sell me a Luke neck and set it up if I went that route?

Hmmm. My memory is fuzzy, but I recall Dan and I trying this back in the Hot Licks era. I don't think the Luke neck will fit correctly. I do recall that he was able to get a Axis neck to mate with the Albert Lee body though. He routed that Albert Lee to have a Floyd Rose. It was a killer guitar. He probably still has it.

The necks on the Luke & Axis series are slightly narrower at the heel (those two are interchangeable ... I've done it). The Silhouette Special has a slightly wider neck pocket. So it would probably fit, but you'd have a small gap of 1/4" or so.

As for getting a neck, you can't buy one from EBMM so you'd have to find one second hand, or do the swap. That'd be pretty damn cool.

Nope!

24 fret neck vs 22 fret. It's not a Silhouette Special it's a Silhouette. The Luke neck will be too close to the bridge and the guitar will never play in tune.
