You know, I've always wanted to get one of these to fool around with around the house... a legacy of being raised on the Prairie, no doubt...

Hey BP, did your Dad manufacture these in the early days of the string factory? or did he have them built by someone else to his specs and bring them into the store with his brand?
 
those were made in Newport Beach in the machine shop by dan nortonn and ron saul.

it uses a lorger aluminum extrusion than the vp but the vp was the inspiration. THe maple block on top of the extrusion gave rigidity and tone.

My Dad was a great pedal steel player and always wanted to make one. He bought Chuck Wrights Steel Guitar Company and made a few really cool high ind keyless tuners ones. This was an affodalble honest E9 intermiediate model
