8-29 for the purple sunset!? I think that's the color I ordered. I really don't know. I just know I will love the guitar when I get it.
That's one of my moms birthdays. (I don't have more than one mom. My mom has several birthdays) That would be cool to get my guitar on my moms birthday.

When ever it gets here it will be nice. No rush. Better done right than right now.

My impression was that the final details hadn't been approved by Steve.

Hey Guys,

We are working very hard on finishing up the details on the new Y2d. Yes there is a couple of last minute odds and ends we are tying up, but were really close. Stay tuned, I know Steve is happy with the new guitar and used it about 80% on the new Deep Purple record.

The birth certificate says 8-27. The Doctors records says 8-28. My Grandmother swears it was 8-29. Instead of telling anyone they were wrong we just celebrate my moms birthday on all three days. Everyone is happy.

Please join me in celebrating my moms 204th, 205th and 206 birthdays this year. :D

I have never seen a picture of the y2d Morse with any words saying what that color is. I ordered the one "like Steve's" natural fading to purple. I don't know what the name of that color is. Is that not purple sunset? :confused:

Purple Sunset is correct. I spoke with Steve this am and he is looking forward to taking this new guitar on the Deep Purple tour.

I'm still not buying it though, ;) I figured it was a lame attempt to stay under BP's radar and out of his wrath.

I personally can't wait for them to start shipping. I am psyched beyond belief in getting this guitar.
