Gig pic:

Sure, I have fancy super expensive multilaminent pieces of art and instruments with 5 in a row tuning machines, but what do I choose to play on a gig?

No headstock was present in any of the pictures taken. Please, no comments about slapping and the old folks in the front heheh.

On the left you can see my new toy in my rack, a BBE BMAX-T pre. We also had a carvin powered 18" sub connected to the Bose PAS for some serious thump.

Hey, that's an italia. It does piezo output and magnetic pickup outputs seperately. Pretty cool idea, but not so great execution. Sounded pretty decent, but I'm sure it is no EBMM guitar. Hey, what do I know, it's not a bass.

You can see the singer's PRS on the stand beside me.

I was following your gain-staging adventures over on the Bose board. Did you get it sorted?

Pretty much, yeah. I think the overal issue is that two of use use one of the PAS systems. So, it was a balancing act to get the overall volume right. So, I think I only had one case of going RED during the show, and it was because I was messing with the EQ on my Bongo. That EQ can really boost the output level.

I think the overall problem is that I did not understand how the gain on the PS1 interacted with the gain and master on the remote. Overall I was pretty happy, though I had a had time hearing my slap stuff. I was wearing earplugs, and the bass was coming out of the pole on my far right, not the one behind me.

Oh, wait. Paul lives in the UK. I'll have to turn him in to the BBC version of the show.

Yep we got "What not to wear" with the wonderfully caustic Trinny and Suzanne - Paul would be dead meat with the pair of them.....:) especially with those trousers.

(Paul just kidding man....)
