This thread is Game Changer-users sharing ideas on
how we like the ”User Presets” in the Web App to be designed.

Since we know that The Game Changer is the future for electric guitars & basses,
-it is time to develop the best ideas on how the sharing of User Presets should be designed.
There has to be some prioritys.
So if You use a Game Changer, please take part, and let us work together.
( I guess EBMM are working on it, but some respons from users all over the world could contribute :)

I will start by giving my ideas, so far (they will change, during our common process).

NAME OF YOUR USER-PRESET
The name should tell others the character of Your sound.
Giving associations to certain songs/artists/sounds.
The type of names in the present TGC Web App ( like ”1s4” ) will not give enough guidance, when looking for a special sound among hundreds of presets.

YOUR SPECIAL COMMENTS
The present ”Properties” works fine, for Your special comments on Your own preset.
( Like: ”for aggressive picking” or ”strumming with thin pick close to neck” )

HOW TO SYSTEMATIZE / SITE-MAP
Here is the real problem, I guess.
When it comes to prioritys.
This is my first proposal:

STEP 1. SELECT YOUR MODEL
- Bass HH =contains all bass presets.
- Guitar HH =presets for HH and HHP not using piezo.
- Guitar HHP =presets when using piezo on HHP
- Guitar HSH =presets for HSH and HSHP not using piezo.
- Guitar HSHP =presets when using piezo in HSHP.

The first step is not a problem. But in step 2 prioritys hav to be made.

STEP 2. SELECT YOUR... (Now You are in Your special model folder)
What categories are the best, to quickly find the sound/preset You are looking for?
a) PLAYING-STYLE?
b) GENRE?
c) SOUND?

Examples:
Since I'm a bass-player i start with BASS-category-ideas:
a) SELECT YOUR PLAYING STYLE:
-SLAP
-FINGER
-FINGER EDGY (Like sounds for dist)
-PICK
-PICK EDGY
-SPECIAL (Like ”good for trigging EBS Octavider” or ”for Korg Pandora Fretless”)

Examples for GUITAR categories (inside each special model folder)
a) SELECT YOUR PLAYING STYLE:
-FINGER
-FINGER CHORDS
-PICK
-PICK EDGY
-PICK STRUM
-CHICKEN PICKING
-SPECIAL (Like ”good for trigging TC Helicon Harmonizer” or ”for Boss Synth...”)
In the guitar-categories I'm lost. You guitarists know much better what categories shold be.

….Or is it better if You...

b) SELECT YOUR GENRE?
In the Gam Changer Web App it is a system with 13 guitar genres, and 3 bass genres.
(I don't write them down here, it's better seen in the Web App.)
Are those 13 genres OK for You guitarists?
...The 3 bass genres will be too limited for me as a bass player, I guess, when the library is filled with hundreds of presets in each genre... Then we will need some sub-genres...

...Or is a system of the desired sound the best solution..?..

c) SELECT YOUR DESIRED SOUND?
Examples: ”For....DIST...TREMOLO...FLANGER...CLEAN...BOOMY...THIN...”..?

- - - - - - -

Or...is it possible to store the same preset in several categories..?

Well...those are my first ideas in our common research ;)
I hope to hear from You
Game Changer users on bass or guitars!

Like step 1 and 2 but I think you too complicated in the lettered sub paragraphs after 2. Currently I don't think there's enough users in the library to use that many different categories.
