Just bought a Honeyburst unlined fretless, white pickguard. I love it!

Serial number 08151, six screw neckplate with the old logo.

I'm guessing it's 1996/7.

This seriel number does not show up in our system. Can you doublecheck.

thanks

Derek

Hi all, I've got a stingray5 translucent orange with black pearloid pickguard and its serial number is E40791.

Hi Barbara.

Yes, I see what you mean. It's possible Customer Service made a mistake with respect to the year of manufacture. I would have said 2004.

I sometimes get the years mixed up.

You could possibly email them to double check the year. I'm sure they wont mind you asking again :)

their mail says "Your bass was made up in april 2005, it's indeed brandnew", so I think they didn't made a mistake...but I'll try writing them again.
Anyway...stay tuned for news :)

I don't know if you've gotten an answer on this yet or not. Derek and Beth have been out of the country for the past week, so here ya go:

SR5 Trans Teal w/ Maple and Blk PG
53124: 12/15/92

SR5 Maple and White PG
53823: 8/16/93 and it is indeed Sunburst

:D

Thank you so much for dating my boy(you were right,I peeked under the pickguard haha).I`ll be sure to hoist one in his honor on that day....
He`s an SR5 by the way.
It took me a little bit to get used to the mids and get it dialed in with my ampeg 3pro/410hlf but I`m getting very favorable comments about the sound with this combination.Actually,I pretty much leave all the amp controls flat and make the changes at the bass.
Thanks again for the info on my boy !!
Big John
One more thing.....I would like to change the hardware to gold,I think it would dress it up nicely,,,,Does anybody sell gold hardware for the SR5?
