Norm calls Keith.
Norm's in LA.
Keith says we should get together and play. you got your guitar with you?
Norm says no.
Keith says No problem.
I'll let you borrow a Gibson.
Norm cracks up. Says to bring the Morse for him.

Keith heading up to LA wednesday night with 2 small amps, 1 luke, 1 morse.

Norm promises to show Keith a little Beethoven
Keith hopes he means THE COMPOSER, and that's not what he calls his private area.

Record? Ain't gonna happen. Already bringing 2 amps and 2 guitars, 2 cords a tuner and extra strings to the hotel for a mid week jam. Recording gear would just be too much gear.

But I'll count the mistakes Norm makes and report back.

Well, during the first hour of jamming it's looking like Norm will play (and possibly teach Keith some of) Beethoven's MOONLIGHT SONATA and POINT COUNTERPOINT by Steve Morse!
:D

And Keith will play (and possibly watch Norm snicker at :( ) DREAMING and NORTH OF CAMBRIA. NORTH OF CAMBRIA was written on my trip up the coast this past February with stops in SLO, Morrow bay, Big Sur, San Simieon.

A really good trip during difficult times that inspired a very fun, uplifting and challenging song to play.

REPORT

Spent a couple hours listening to one another play. I played some originals.

Norm pulled off some satch, some Morse and a few originals.

Also Bach and Beethoven.

The piece he played the best was Satriani's MIDNIGHT.

We snapped a few pics.

Norm is really dedicated to learning a bunch of steve's stufff. Which ain't easy and must take a helluva lot of time.

Kudos Norm.

Probably one of those "I hate shred" types trying to listen in and was sent to his room with his tail between his legs..... ;)

Jeez, you play some awsome music and people have to cry and whine.....so, crank it up some more to drown them out.....hehehehehe....
