<div class="bbWrapper">I just received my new Radiance Red JP6 and I have 2 questions:<br /> <br /> !. Has anyone had experience restringing from 10&#039;s to 09&#039;s...everything else I have is strung that way, and I would like to stay consistent...What are the ramifications if I do? Or is this something not to be atttempted for some reason? <br /> <br /> 2. How do you conserve the battery power? Is it simply a matter of unplugging the guitar to save the battery, much like a stomp box? Many thanks...<br /> <br /> Stuie</div>

<div class="bbWrapper">Stuie, do a search I think that these 2 things have been covered before in great deal.<br /> <br /> How about posting some pictures, we&#039;d love to see it!!!! <img src="https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/joypixels/assets/8.0/png/unicode/64/1f600.png" class="smilie smilie--emoji" loading="lazy" width="64" height="64" alt=":D" title="Big grin :D" data-smilie="8"data-shortname=":D" /><br /> <br /> Glenn |B)</div>

<div class="bbWrapper">The FAQ page also has soem great info on care and setup. <div class="bbWrapper">Welcome to the addiction! Rad Red is an awesome color. See the FAQ, much info there to help you. <img src="https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/joypixels/assets/8.0/png/unicode/64/1f60e.png" class="smilie smilie--emoji" loading="lazy" width="64" height="64" alt="" title="Cool " data-smilie="6"data-shortname="" /></div>

<div class="bbWrapper">If I were you... I&#039;ll let the 10&#039;s ...<br /> <br /> The JP sounds better with them... trust me...</div>

<div class="bbWrapper">The battery is disconnected when nothing is plugged into the input jacks.<br /> <br /> Switching from 10&#039;s to 9&#039;s may involve leveling the trem, tweaking the truss rod, and /or re-doing the intonation. You won&#039;t know which or how many of these until you do it. Some people have switched with no changes needed.</div>

<div class="bbWrapper"><b>Many thanks...</b><br /> <br /> I appreciate all the quick feedback...you guys rock!<br /> <br /> Stuie</div>

The smaller diameter of the 9&#039;s will lower the action a bit.</div>

<div class="bbWrapper">Righto, Jon!<br /> <br /> You could calculate the actual change in action if you knew the exact angle/taper that the nut slots were cut at, but it&#039;s much easier to just measure before and after string gauge changes <img src="https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/joypixels/assets/8.0/png/unicode/64/1f609.png" class="smilie smilie--emoji" loading="lazy" width="64" height="64" alt=";)" title="Wink ;)" data-smilie="2"data-shortname=";)" /></div>
