Welcome to Day 3 of my annual New Year's New Guitar Days (NYNGD)!
Alright, we're rolling now! Thanks for the kind words and comments on yesterday's #2018-2!
This is the Christmas edition even though I am a day late -- had a long, great day with my family and decided Photoshop and I weren't spending time editing photos last night! But enjoy the festive colors of this guitar surrounded by holly and Christmas cheer!
Today's NYNGD represents a collector's triumph! As you may recall, I have been on the lookout for a Luke III from the Cardinal Red Sparkle PDN run. In February, I finally struck gold and found someone selling on Reverb! This guitar is another sparkle masterpiece. The roasted neck is awesome -- and on this LIII I left the pronounced "V" neck profile unmolested (as you know, I have taken the orbital sander to a few Luke's the the past).
This guitar sounds really warm and beautiful and has seen some time in the recording studio. Doesn't she look amazing?
I also thought it would be cool to do a group shot with all my Cardinal Red Sparkles -- what a trio!

(The back story in case you're new to my NYNGD: For the past couple of years I've done a fun thing that most of you I think enjoyed, and I thought I would do it again this year. Every year, I am a slacker about keeping my Guitar Gallery up to date... So, as a fun holiday thing, let's launch a guitar in the Guitar Gallery each day leading up to New Years Eve! In the past I've received PM's about my collection and whether I play all of these guitars.
The same question came up during my NYNGD posts a few years ago and my answer was pretty detailed and well thought-out, so please check it out here!)
(Also, in case anybody gets any funny ideas -- these guitars are not at my house. They are all in my very secure and alarmed studio facility. I usually only have two guitars floating around the house...)
