hey guys,

the push push of my olive gold is out of service. locked in high / ON position.
I have demos to make for dunlop soon ( new shin-juku drive, echoplex delay...) and I'm more into this particular guitar these days.

where can I buy this specific push push ? it looks like it's specific to music man.

thanks

Thanks beej ! I did it saturday, the office was probably closed.

I'm having the same issue. I received my new Luke III on Friday and on Saturday I've noticed the Knob was loose. I tried adjusting the screw on the knob, but the issue is that the pot doesn't engage. Volume doesn't adjust either. As much as I love the neck and the guitar sound, this is the second problem with this new guitar. The first one had a hum noise and zZound replaced it with this new one. I'm beyond disappointed.

While you are waiting for that issue to be fixed, there is thing you should check...

Sometimes the knob (« bouton », pour nos francophones) slips down on the pot shaft which prevents the knob from being pressed sufficiently. Loosen the set screw with a hex key, remove the knob and test the push-push function. If it works, put the knob back on and fix it into the right position.

Is there enough room in there to de-solder the push-push from the board, push the board out of the way a bit, put a different push-push pot in and jumper it back to the board?

I might be easy in US. Here in france I have to get in from the french distributor who does not seems to be very cooperative. My local store told me they won't do nothing for me. ( nothing to do with the fact I was an endorsee and I quit because a major disagreement about demo tours ) it's always like that they told me...

Maybe I should contact the store who sold the guitar to the original customer ( I traded it from my LP 56 VOS ) but the guitar is not covered anymore and it will be the same story...

It's a VERY complex process to get a small €10 part...

I was happy to play music man again, and I'm still in love with the guitars...but working with those guys is just impossible.
As I give as much exposure as I can ( many people thinks I endorse MM again ) from dunlop or bogner, I wish customer service would just sell me the part directly...

There might be, I don't know. You can always find a super talented electronician...

BUT

my retailer, who I entirely trust, recommended changing the entire thing. Which he did himself and it sure didn't look easy.

just got a mail from the customer service who is gonna sell me the part...
thank you so much music man...!!!!

I know the company is not supposed to do these kind of things overseas...I really appreciate !!!

I just fixed the push push with the dumbest repair ever.

a small piece of paper holds the push push in DOWN / OFF position.

men I missed that sound !!! silent, warm, incredible in splitted positions...I'm supposed to set most of my guitars with EMG pickups but I did not want to touch anything on both of my luke's. when it sounds good, no need to search anything else !

Just wondering why you couldn't get one from Strings n things UK - however what with the UK bank holiday Monday they would have shut up shop Friday and will probably open again tomorrow.

Just got a mail from Dunlop. They have a Shin-Juku drive on its way to my place. It's cool because whatever happens I'll be able to do it with my fixed push push or the new one.

Like each one of their new products, it's gonna make a lot of views...can't wait to show you guys how it sounds !!!
