I found this on one of our distributor's websites www.sinamex.com -- but I made a couple minor changes...

What to tell your spouse after buying a Music Man...
1. I'll be home more often.
2. I want to sing to you with only the best guitar.
3. There are too many mediocre things to deal with in life and guitars shouldn’t be one of them.
4. I have done full research and Music Man are the most durable guitars/basses made.
5. Among all guitars/basses, Music Man have the best re-sale value.
6. Since you have always been such a supportive spouse, there is really no need to give you any reasons.
7. I have good taste, why do you think you are my spouse?
8. This guitar reminds me of how perfect you are.
9. Anything less than extra-ordinary is a waste of my time, It’s the same reason why I chose you to be my spouse.

:D

Any more ideas?

I guess I'll have to get rid of one of the others?

I just had to have it, it's in a sparkle finish I don't have!

So what do you think of this one, do you mind if I get it?

I know we don't have the money, but it's a model and a sparkle finish that I don't have!

I swear it's the last one I'm gonna buy!!

Well you guys could make it my birthday, fathers day and Christmas present for the next 2 years?

I usually just look straight ahead and say
Yeah... that's right... I bought a new guitar.....I'm the man in this family, I work hard for my money and i'll spend it anyway freakin' I want to.......now get back inside and make me some chicken.

Then I wake up and try to remember where I hid the case.

Truth is I don't have too many expensive habits, and neither myself nor my wife are going to jeopardize our family finances by purchasing anything beyond our means. She knows I enjoy the guitars and puts up with it. In fact she even said go ahead when I was feeling guilty deciding on the EG Silo Spec. I consider myself a lucky man.

Plus as a mid life crisis, if you add them all up, its still cheaper than a sports car. And much cheaper than a young girlfriend, which would eventually cost me half ;)

Who needs an excuse? I just have to take her to Hooter's... ;)

My wife was looking over my shoulder reading all of the responses and had a few thoughts...

Glenn, she says all of your excuses could have been mine, she's probably heard them all at one time or another.

Hey Mike, Kim wants to know if you got stuffing or mashed potatoes... upside your head!!!!

Hey Dave, thanks, now she's whining, she's always wanted a horse...

later,
fred

When I came to they told me it was a leg of lamb. That way, if I died, she could eat the evidence. :p
