hi folks,

just wanted to share something I've recorded yesterday. I don't why but the lead tone of my JP6 is just awesome to me. Maybe because I raised action a bit to get rid of the buzz and now all the articulation is coming out better on recording! Wow,the action is now a bit high but the tone is just great. All electric guitars on this is my JP6 as well as the acoustic solo (piezo)

thx guys. I used my Furch acoustic. I borrowed a bass from my friend. My amp is Marshall AVT150 (hybrid combo). I used really cheap condenser mic and it went straight to PC's soundcard

Philip = lovely stuff you have played there. You have a great talent.
At times it reminded me of a film score and Jeff Beck has earned loads from doing that type of work!!

Graet sound from what must be a limited set up compared tp pro recording resources.

Now gives us some blues !!! :D ;)

Philip,
Very nice feel. I really enjoyed it, actually it's been looping non-stop for a while.

You're right, very nice tone, liquid leads. Thanks for sharing!

fred

edit:
Philip, after listening to it loop over the past hour or so, it finally hit me who it reminds me of. Neil Zaza. It's a very melodic tune. I like it because it doesn't sound all post processed to death.

Tasty! Very nice tone, especially in light of your recording setup. I like the nice melodic lines, and the acoustic bit sounds great. Good stuff!

Great playing! Great tone! :D :D Makes me want to pick up my JP6 and play! Unfortunately, I have to leave in the next hour or so for a business trip. :(

Philip, nice job, man! Enjoyed the phrasing of the lead guitar, and the tone you got of your JP is super. I'll say it again, always fun to see/hear a Ball in action. Thanks for sharing it.

Really nice! What did you use for recording the drums? Is that live or canned?

I am using some basic drum machine. It is sometimes really limited but I don't have purpose to buy something like Drumkit from hell or sth like that cause I don't use Cubase or other VST capable software,

cheers,

thanks for listening!

Not on your life! I'm listening right now. Sorry I was late to the party. Comments after I listen a few times.

Edit:
Okay, I've listened a few times. Nice track! Your lead tone is more singing and vibrant on this track, I can hear what you were talking about. I like the playing too.. you've branched out a bit with this song, but still incorporated some of your signature licks. I'm still waiting for a CD project from you! :)
