If it sports a solid rosewood neck then I'll open my wallet.
Well... I'll probably open it anyway :p

You and me are on the same page here.
A rosewood necked SR is what I'm dreaming of.
But also I'm thinking about going deeper so a SR5 is getting more and more attractive, blue dawn is a favorite and I'm even warming up to the Bongo so I must get SOMETHING!!!!:)

I was at the table when BP spilled the details, so I can assure you that it does NOT have a Rosewood neck.

I seem to remember something about a mahogany tone block, but it was a looooooooong evening.

That's a good way to start, just tell us all that it's NOT and we'll figure out what it is. BTW, what's a tone block?!? is that a new word for 'body'? hope it doesn't block the tone :p

Tone block is a slab of wood in the center of the bass... the bridge and pups sit in/on it. There are wings of other body woods on either side. This points to solid finishes, or, really nice wood veneers on top and back. Or a solid mahog body, perhaps in 3 pieces. But I know absolutely nothing. About anything...

So... this is following the 30thSR4 steps. That's a good thing.

So they'll be available in multipule pickup configs? Bummer. Was kinda hoping things would be kept traditional and only be one pickup. Oh well. I'll just buy a single hummer fretless and keep my mouth shut. :D Will piezos be available on the 20th?

Oh i'm not BP. Don't worry. I was just kind of assuming that since the 20th and 30th SR are single pup only, I figured the 20th SR5 would be too. Me and my preconceived notions.

Piezos??? :D

Well Stanky will just have to do without them. Of course nothing really bothers me right now since i'm on 2 muscle relaxants. Single H fretless unlined it is. :D
