I tried to buy a few at a Sears here in a really rural area. They were getting some unannounced and with no pre-sales.

By the time I got there, there was a pretty long line, so I didn't bother.

I was just gonna eBay them anyway. :D

unannounced and so how did you know about it, hmmmm? :D

I got your voice mail, buzz me back when you get the time.

If you look at Ebay and search on PS3, completed listings, you'll see many having sold for over $15,000 and some over $30,000. I imagine some folks are setting up bogus IDs and placing these ridiculous bids just to yank the sellers. It has to be because I don't want to live in a world where people really pay that much for a forkin' game.

So where's my JP6 Pete? :)

One of the few advantages of getting older I find, is becoming completely immune to the hype around launches of stuff like this now.

Frankly I don't really enjoy PS2 games any more than I enjoyed PS1 games.

I may get a PS3 in about 2 or 3 years!:D

There's the other secret to selling anything online. Supply and demand. Sony produced about 400,000 PS3's for the US launch.

People will pay for something in short supply, and they'll pay through the tooth to get it.

A fool and his money shall soon part.

Apparently a bunch of people in KC in front of Best Buys and Circuit Citys got robbed, both of hundreds of dollars and PS3s.
