Beautiful guitar! Flawless. Man I forget how freakin' awesome the necks on these things feel. Lots of tones in this one too. Didn't get a lot of time on her tonight but I dig the sc pup a lot, the in between tones are nice and 'spanky' and the bridge pup is very cool. Thought the neck sounded dark. Darker than my other guits. I have another 24 fretter and a couple 22's. <shrug> Need more time on her.

Very happy.

Great looking guitar that - congrats.

I have never paid much attention to the matching headstock but that photo of your h/s shows the kind of detail that EB go to in the finishing of their guitars. - Awesome !!

That's EXACTLY why I posted that pic. I was not intending on including a hs pic but when I saw it I was like, DAMN!!! Look at how nice, well done that is.

This example of Blue Pearl seems to be a bit more sparkly than my Sterling was. <shrug> My memory may not be so good though. At any rate, I'm very happy with it all around.

ive only played an old regular silo a few years ago, got a few questions for ya on your one.

what sort of tones does the HSH Silo offer?

what does the single coil sound like on its own and with the neck humbucker?

is the neck humbucker like an Axis SS neck sound?

We compared with my Luke and RW ASS today.

It's brighter than the RW (Big surprise) but still plenty of thick tones, with a lovely clarity.
The middle pickup to mee seems much more useable than on a Str$t type guitar. in combination, you still get those lovely quacky tones, with a bit more 'girth' to my ear.

Very cool guitar. Just extremely versitile, and not a bad sound in it. We ran it through both of my Greer amps, several pedals, clean, distorted, Alt. tunings, the thing just SINGS!!!!!

How do you find the sound of the neck pickup with the 24 frets? Any noticeable tone difference?

To me it add's a nice clarity to the tone.
Again, this was very new to me, but through my rig, and comparing with my Axis, there was a bit more bite, but a much more versitile set of tones.

Could be my favorite guitar in the line really. Great axe. I gotta get me one. Gas just cranked up a notch.

Little more briteness to the tone, but it's really tough to compare being my Axis SS is Rosewood..more thud and mid 'push' with the axis. But a nice warmth with clarity.

I generally prefer neck buckers on a 24 fretter.
