i dont know if knox listed them as the one listing is from the evh site. i told the guy i would buy it now for 60 bucks as thats what i paid for my other 2 inch one in mint condition. by mint i mean it was never on a guitar before i couldnt even get the leather to stretch over the buttons. good thing i use snap locks.
He did have a listing on ebay, but it has ended and no one bought the strap. The listing stated paypal only, and I do not use that form of payment. The strap that was on ebay looked like it was a 3 inch, instead of the 2 inch I am looking for.
I don't think you will be able to find one of these straps for $60.00, because of the demand of them.
I bought mine when they came out a few years ago, and wanted another one for my Rosewood Axsis I got last year when I saw them at the Ernie Ball booth. I was lucky to have my order in right away and have a low serial number on it. I have an EVH Hardtail in trans gold also, plus another hard tail trans gold to match that one, so I don't have to take the EVH out to the clubs. Now I am looking at an Honeyburst Axsis hardtail I see on ebay, but the seller wants way to much for the new guitar. He has a make offer link, but I don't think he will agree on the price I have in mind.
Capitalize on it while you can. Whilst poking around the US Patent and Trademark Web Site a few months back I noticed the 5150 trademark had been updated from amplifiers and speakers to "guitar picks, guitar straps and guitar strings" so I have this sneaking suspicion that we're about to see another EVH strap.......for a lot less than what these guys are going for on eBay.
i have bought and sold 2 of these EB straps and they have both been too short...i'm looking for something at least 52 inches long and all the EB ones i have had were only like 48 inches, i know that doesnt sound like much, but it makes a big difference to me.
I am looking for the short one that is no longer than 48inches. I still don't know why company's that make a product and the public is in deman for it, stop making the darn thing! I don't care who was famous using the strap. The strap is perfect and comfortable, compared to the other junk that is being made today.
I am curious where you got your stats from, on how many want this strap.
Why not have a limited run, of say a few thousand! The price on good leather straps, are around $100.00 today and people will pay close to that for the EVH strap. Look at how the price's are going, when they are put up for auction.
