I am looking for a strap that is the perfect hybrid between comfertable and cool looking, I tried out a friend of mines comfort strap and it was heaven, but it also looked a bit odd. Image is important in this case.
Ive heard sadowsky neoprene straps are good?

I'm sure somone here has had the same problem.
Thanks

I just got one of those Comfort Strapps myself. I've been having left shoulder/neck pain after gigs. I have a very short gig tonight, but a longer one the following weekend. That'll be the true test.

Said it before, will say it again: Levy's 4.5" wide padded strap. $49 at MF. It's as wide as you can go without the thing sticking out beyond your shoulder anyway, and wide means the weight is distributed as well as it can be.

Looks good, too.

I have a Levy's Soft Suede Guitar Strap. Mine is natural but they come in black. It is extra wide and distributes the weight well, imho. It was a drag getting the straplocks on it, because of the thickness, but it works well. GC has 'em. http://www.guitarcenter.com/shop/product/buy_levys_soft_suede_guitar_strap?full_sku=360547.001

+1 on the 3.5" suede. In expensive too.

I made the mistake of buying the cheaper 3.5" top grain? version. It was hard and unflexible, and sort of cut into my neck. The soft suede is much better.

Comfort Strapps are nice but they come in a few different lengths so be sure to check which one you need. As for the "image" factor, well...

i just purchased a comfort strapp short version, mainly to use with my w@rwick, due to its weight and geometry. i have to have that bass up higher and the neck angled up a bit more to feel comfortable with it. i keep my SUBs up fairly high, but not as high. they're more comfy in a more level position. couple that with a nice, wide strap, and i can gig for hours with an EBMM. the other straps i use are similar to a Levy's or Comfort Strapp, but with less padding... just as wide though.

When are those new EB straps coming out? The ones with the tattoo designs on them. I was planning on picking one up but haven't seen them anywhere.

We've been shipping them out for a few months now. If you have a local Guitar Center, you can check there...they've been ordering quite a few of them.

The Sadowsky neoprene straps are fine - the only Sadowsky product I use at the moment (sold all my Sad-basses)

Here's another I can tell what not to buy posts. I bought a Moody strap and while I think it "looks" cool as hell, it's too wide and digs into my neck. They're not cheap either. Live and learn I guess.......

If the EB straps are anything like my levies strap I will buy 4 and give my levies away to someone less fortunate than I. I love all things EB. Maybe the KC GC has some.

I love Jodi Head straps http://www.jodihead.com/
I must have at least 30 skull & crossbone straps (plus a bunch in other designs). The last 11 I had made with the older suede spit backing material (which I believe stopped being used over a year ago) and went for the red sticthing instead of the usual white.

I use a plain ol' black EB strap that works fine. Of course, I haven't played for hours straight like some of the guys here.
