Lemmings

The story that was conveyed was actually mine. Allthough I personally was finished with this company, My nephew who is a reputable guitar tech felt very strongly about giving this information to you sorry ass lemmings. You are like a bunch of Trekkies worshiping this man who is obviously a rich eccentric silver spoon who lives off of his daddy's money and probably never had to get a real job in his life. For Christ sake, he calls himself "Big Poppa"! What does he think he is; the Godfather? Here's an idea; instead of taking pictures of your guitars all day to make "Big Poppa" proud, why don't you try playing them? You are all pathetic ! You know who I am "Big Poppa" because I wrote you a long letter and received no response. To all of you who keep saying I'm a liar, because EB doesn't ship directly to a residence, attached are pictures of the shipping label on the box and the bass itself.
My luke that had the twisted neck is currently at my luthier's house having a custom neck made for it. "thanks alot for all your help Dan Mcpherson!!!!!"
If any of you sad people want to respond, don't bother. I will not be logging on anymore because I'll be playing my guitar!!!

EB MMs CS is great as ya all know.
there are some dealer issues. and dealers sometimes try to put theyr mistakes on the deliverer (like it happened with my 20th deal).

i needed some infos and tech help for my JP once and received answers very very quick and helpful. and it was a no prob. nothing worth to mention at all.

maybe troll. maybe bad luck. maybe dealer issue. the truth wouldt be interesting.

Assdroid,

You and your nephew are a couple of jag-offs. The reason we think so, is because the VAST majority of us have dealt with Dan and the other folks at Customer Service before. That means we know you're 9 fingered nephews account of the story is Bulls$%t.

And to think that you both believed that something good would come from your bashing on this forum is further proof that you're missing key elements of an otherwise normal human beings genetic code.

Nice sister. I'd have never known.

This thread is incredibly entertaining. Can't wait to see the outcome... was there an outcome yet?

I've had to contact CS twice. Once about each of my JP7's.

The first one got damaged in shipping, they took care of it, no probs. Even paid for shipping both ways.

The second one had a problem with the way the nut was cut. The low B and E strings were digging into the rosewood fingerboard behind the nut, causing tuning problems.

Sterling and Dudley figured out a solution and fixed my guitar, charged me nothing and, I believe, changed the way the guitars were manufacturered slightly because of my issue to avoid it in the future.

I guess there's always that 1% of people who are never happy with anything. I'm figuring this guy fits in there squarely. :)

I work for a great company and sometimes we screw things up. The sad part of this is that it tends to happen to one individual and for some reason that one person get all the bad service that we can muster. I agree that Ernie Ball is a great company with great products, but its hard to do it right 100% of the time. As in most instances time heals most wounds.

Tis the season to flame and be flamed.

Out of curiosity, I stopped by another guitar brand forum, one I used to frequent as a fan. The same thing is going on over there: disgruntled customers, diatribes, CS rants, etc.

I’ve never said EBMM CS is perfect; there’s been an error or two along the way, but they’ve remedied the problem in a professional manner, always treating me as their respected customer. Thing is, I’ve never carried on with them like a spoiled 8 year old, never bypassed the CS rep by writing letters (most likely angry, accusing letters) to BP, either. I respected them and their system, and they respected me and my product issue. I was always direct and polite, and so I was met directly and politely. Funny how that works, ain’t it?

Well, we know you can't make everyone happy all the time, and we also know that you should treat others the way that you want to be treated.

The post says a lot about the poster.

I think BP was right, letting it work itself out, reckoning that people can reach their own conclusions.

But I'll say this too: I think it's healthy for a voice or two to spout off once in awhile, rattle the system a little. Nobody's perfect, and making some sort of idol of a guitar or guitar maker is just a bit unrealistic. It's just too much to live up to.

S'all good.

I am devastated......to think that i would hear accusations of being a silver spoon that has never done anything for the first time so close to xmas....well I just dont know if I can make it. Im hoping that I dont hear "sterling Balls" for the first time either......I have been living in constant fear that someone will make a bald guy joke too for the first time. What would New Years be like if someone for the first tiime aske me if my sisters name was Cristal? If they poke me in the stomach and make a wise crack about being fat Im jumping off a step ladder.

It is funny that Koogie was right he original poster was a liar. His Uncle Buck now comes and continues the half truth. If you send me a letter telling me that you are through and there is nothing I can do (and you are wrong to begin with) and you dont give a return address because you might get an answer that you dont like back or it has to be really warm in a room for you wear your nephew's speedo's (other wise they think your sister is topless.) THen you will get no response. Just like the email funtion is blocked...fire away but dont let someone communicate and respond to your barbs.

Respected Luthier? Highly doubt it. But he may have a full time job with Uncle Buck.

By the way thanks for bringin up my dead father at Xmas..its been a little over two years since his passing and I still haven't blown through all of his money yet, but Im trying. I do however use little bits of wisdom that he passed on to me...the best one is that if you can't figure out why someone does something the chances are that "The world is full of 'd' students. Moron screws up your order .....'d' student.....One of the others that this thread reminds me of is being a little kid in his store and a totaly wacked out customer is going crazy and totally unfair, unrealistiic...I remember my Dad calmly responding in a normal voice...as the guy started raising his voice my Dad lowered his until he stopped responding altogether. WHen the guy blew his wad and left I asked him why he didn't continue to defend himself...he said, 'Sterling, remember that you cannot negiotiate with a terrorist or a crazy person" thanks Pops.

Candid I dont think people Idolize me I think that they really like thier axes. I do idolize Chuck ward though....

The funny thing is that these two corkbags think they've really stuck it to Sterling and his minions.

I guess inbred halfwits can have delusions of grandeur, too....

Sterling Ball bought me and a hell of a lot of other people dinner, booze, and the best bourbon pecan pie I've ever had in my life. I think it's safe to say he burned through all of his money because all I ever saw him with was club soda....:D

I like hanging out here. Meaning, I leave myself signed while I spend my usual 2 hours a day practicing. That is, actually palying my guitar. There is no idol worship here. I love to see pics of other peeps instruments because I love EBMM guitars. Each one is special because, if nothing else, they're special to the people that buy them. I resent being called a "sorry ass lemming." Apart from the fact that I don't understand the insult, the majority of people here (maybe everybody) are very polite helpful friendly individuals who haven't merited an assault on their character in such a fashion. I should ask, does that mean that Steve Lukather and John Petrucci (to name but 2) fall into that "lemming" category since they, particularly the former, both post here?

And I really resent being called a "trekkie!" :p

What's an ass lemming? If you're going to insult me, I prefer 'redneck' or perhaps 'slackjawed nutjob'. (Truth is I'm working toward "Lord Slackjawed Nutjob of Planet Bongo" but I realize that's a mouthful.)

You are like a bunch of Trekkies worshiping this man who is obviously a rich eccentric silver spoon who lives off of his daddy's money and probably never had to get a real job in his life.

Look, we're either ass lemmings or we're Trekkies, make up your mind. On a serious note, you probably don't realize that many of us here know each other in real life. This would include your 'rich eccentric', who has been accessible and helpful and generous and so on. I do think he had a real job once, I mean besides bringing Music Man back from near obscurity and almost certain death, which was no big deal, I'm sure, any slob could do THAT, and aside from building and designing and selling some of the most well-respected instruments on the entire planet, and again, I realize that takes no real talent or business acumen, but what I'm saying is that I seem to remember him telling me that he once had a job rubbing linseed oil into the school cormorant. Even an ass lemming knows how tough and demanding that can be.

For Christ sake, he calls himself "Big Poppa"! What does he think he is; the Godfather?

I don't think so, but just to be safe, if I were you, I'd have my horses moved to a safe location.

Here's an idea; instead of taking pictures of your guitars all day to make "Big Poppa" proud, why don't you try playing them? You are all pathetic !

What kind of idea is THAT? If we play them, they get fingerprints, and even ass lemmings know that fingerprints can spoil an otherwise perfectly good photograph.

You know who I am "Big Poppa" because I wrote you a long letter and received no response.

Oh, I had the same experience with Elizabeth Montgomery, but I'm not convinced she knew who I was, in spite of the scantily clad self-taken photos and bits of hair and all that, so don't assume anything.

If any of you sad people want to respond, don't bother. I will not be logging on anymore because I'll be playing my guitar!!!

That is easy to buy when you are using your dead fathers money. the best use of it was all of these models that I bought the designs for and all of the ad's that have won international design awards...those we real expensive on ebay.

How come they didnt pick on Dargin or Brian.....they are spending their fathers money who is spending his fathers money, They obviously have no talent. I mean Scotty got lucky with the Sr30th all of the le's the rosewood neck specimens this 20SR5, 20th silo.....The question is will Ernie's money run out before Scotty's luck runs out....How about Brian...I cant believe that all of those happy artists are fooled by him and he duped the 15,000 bands into entering our Battle of the Bands and those inked strpas...yeeechhh..... Jeeeez the marketing he has been doing is like an anchor on a leaky skiff....LUCKY LUCKY LUCKY!How could you make unlimited money selling guitar strings....must be a front because we arent out yet....Maybe Casey will push it ovewr the cliff.
