My initial mental impression of the pic since the first time I saw it was "that looks like a saxophone"... don't know why.... and the heck of it is since that was my first impression I can't seem to shake it. Whenever I see it I think "saxophone?"

I've been clueless on that avatar since day one, but for some reason I thought it looked kinda like a model replica of two basses hung on one of those two bass stands, where the basses are back to back.
...or a robot.
Also, BP's head looks like it was dipped in chrome.
whatever.

LOL - It seems alot of people were '' wondering '' about that avatar, I guess I was the only person bored enough to ask about it, haha!

--BP - I still want you to sign my ticket

Actually the "chrome" is his real head. What we usually see is one of those Mission Impossible-type rubber masks (the TV show, not the awful movies).

Here's a pic of BP without the mask:

But you knew that, right? :D

We also talked about the avatar a while back when he changed it. And I STILL haven't seen a larger size photo!

Sometimes even BP can't make your dreams come true.

BTW, while he can't start signing things at the factory for some excellent reasons (IE, he's not there all the time, cough cough), if you ever run into him in person and hand him a Sharpie and your bass, he'll almost certainly be pleased to pen some lie about you ("You're the only hope for mankind", "Luke, I am your father", that sort of thing) on your instrument.

Yeah... I thought it was the prototype for the new Robo-Dentist (tm). It'll save you a boatload of money on your dentistry needs. Every household should have one...
