Hi everyone. I just received three of my new BFR JP models that were unvieled at NAMM. A black burst six, ruby burst six and walnut burst seven. I cannot tell you all how excited about these guitars I am! I am completely over the top. The guitars are absolutely breathtaking. The artistic detail on every level is superb and the feel is just perfect. The guitars are beautiful! It is literally the best instrument I've ever laid my hands on. I know that you have all been along for the ride as we've talked about several protos and shared our progress from time to time. It's been cool getting your feedback.
Ultimately, our goals from the begining were to make a few changes to the original model in design and wood choice in an effort to create the next level of the instrument and add to my sonic palette. We certaily achieved those goals beyond all expectations. I used the new model on the most recent G3 runs and on most of the new DT album. It sounds incredible. Thick and singing. It's kind of like the BMW slogan...The Ultimate Driving Machine...perhaps we should replace driving with shredding! It's really cool to have two outstanding models in my signature line between the original and now the BFR.
Sterling once again proved himself to be a man of integrity with a passion for the instrument and an undying dedication to the satisfaction of his artits. He told me from the beginning that we wouldn't stop until it's perfect and now we are there! Thanks Big Poppa! I also want to give a huge hats off to Drew and Dudley for being such outstanding design visionaries and for all of the super detailed conversations we had and of course the many hours of work put into the guitar. You guys rule!
I guess you can all tell from this post how completely blown away by these instuments I am. I couldn't be happier!

I like the look of the new JP models, i hope to own one sometime down the track.

I was fourtunate enough to see you live @ G3 in Sydney last December and the look/tone of your new guitar was 100%.

BP and crew goes above and beyond the call of duty, regarding all aspects of his business, from you lucky few with a EB signiture model, to us knuckleheads.

But from the photos the BFR tops look fantastic, and l'm sure they will look even better in person.

Enjoy, and thanks John for stopping by, don't be too shy.

Cheers,

Scott.

I am really looking forward to getting my hands on one.

I think that it is really cool that a company like EB can afford (or maybe not) to do some experimentation with different combinations of looks, styles, woods, etc. to create a new and innovative guitar. I'm sure it's not very cost effective for them, but they do it anyway.

I think this new guitar has some really great qualities (all of the qualities I like in a guitar, but better) and I am really looking forward to the day that I open up the case, take it out, plug it in, and lose my mind.

John -

Very pleased that you love your new guitars! I know they are being desired big time by many members of the forum (and from the order numbers - the public at large too!).

But we have a rule here - the guitars don't exist unless you post pics. ;)

.

I'm just kidding! JUST KIDDING! We know yours exist. Looking forward to the next G3 AND DT album. Keep groovin' man. We all love ya' here.

John,

Thanks for keeping us in the loop. I think the factory will be backlogged all year making your latest piece of art. Then again, maybe now that all the prototype-making is done, they'll get to make a few production instruments! ;) :D

I hope you have a long, long relationship with Music Man. No other company will devote its efforts and resources so passionately to their signature artists... and all this with just a handshake. Plus, that Big Poppa guy seems like he'd be really fun to work with.

Now only one question remains, can you pull any strings to help me get a guaranteed quilt top on a walnut burst 6-string F-1? :D Just kidding! (Unless you really want to go there...:D)

Got mine on order, and I'm even happier with it now, with your "seal or approval"!

"It is literally the best instrument I've ever laid my hands on" - That makes me very excited :D

Thanks John for chiming in with your opinion, this just adds to the cool factor of the EBMM forum.

PS: Come do another clinic in Toronto! I got my JP6 signed by you last year there
