I'm sure he's got his nose pressed up against the glass of the doors of Strings and Things, waiting for them to bring our Dargie's out.:D

....or maybe orbiting one of Jupiter's moons (in the vein of this thread)

No biggie folks.....

My wifes uncle passed away rather suddenly, at the same time I'm trying to run two businesses as well as the guitar store.

There havent been enough hours in the day!

Still here selling EBMMs to the masses.........

Dave sorry to hear about that mate. I'll have first shout at the next get together

Sorry for the sadness.

Dave do you find things much diferent than anticipated on the other side of the counter?

I'm not Dave but it's give me a different perspective, I now understand much more about this company. I also now know what a tyre kicker is too...

BP thanks for remembering me, we'll discuss who has pissed off who in person over a cold one :D

I am enjoying retail hugely - there are a lot of customers out there who understand and appreciate what we are trying to do - no we arent going to be the cheapest but in the service league we will always be no. 1. On Sat afternon your amp goes down and you have a gig that evening are Thomman going to be able to provide a loaner? I think not.....

What is most surprising is that there are some UK distributors (and I dont class S&T in this group) who are behaving in such a short term manner opening up every tin pot guitar store and internet firm that they are trashing their brand (and yes I mean one of the top guitar brands in the world). Yes this years sales figures may be up but guess what - next year it'll only be the discount houses who are prepared to buy your product. Doesnt seem to be in anyones interest.

As far as EBMM go I currently have 12 guitars and 4 basses in store with at least another 15 on the order list - for a single store I think we are far and away the biggets UK stockist.

I also had the Vigier rep in today - Patrice has a good way of doing business with retailers - Ant and I are going to meet him in Frankfurt to see if we can work together.

Its a lot more fun than "proper" work :)
