So Pete sends me a note telling me that my Dargie Luke is in, with the words, "It's Wicked". I think the phrase "Big Honkin' Birdseye" was thrown around a bit too. So my wife and I hop in my car (the one that matches my JP....now what do I do?), and we arrive at Pete's place a quick 4.5 hours later. My gosh. You guys were right - pics just don't do this color justice. It's BEAUTIFUL!!! Furthermore, I LOVE the Luke. What playability, what sound! Here's a little eye candy. You sparkle folks might even get a kick out of these - my flash really pulls out the gold flecks.
Pete and I spent a good portion of the afternoon together and I FINALLY got to do my 1:1 comparison with all the necks. Pete's got quite a large selection on hand (note the wall behind us), so I got to compare the AL, Axis, JP6/7, 20th, and Sub necks. Note the AL in the pic to the right of us - that's the trans red 'flamed' AL that Pete posted in another thread. Oh - and I agree with most of you. I think I like the AL neck the best!!
So I'd like to thank EBMM, Pete and my employer for making this all possible. After another 4.5 hours coming home, I stayed up until 2am jamming in my music room!
