I had forgotten how light Bongos are! This thing is a featherweight compared to the log that I've been using for a bass. I retired that 'other' bass tonight.. I've been borrowing it from my brother since about 1999. He's finally getting his bass back! I don't really think I'll need any other basses.

The Bongo plays like buttah, and the tonal possibilities are greater than I ever imagined.

It arrived in tune, too!

LOL. Sterling screwed up and missed the order window!! All is not lost -- they still have some at Bass Central and Musician's Friend!

SteveB your bass is GORGEOUS!! I'm getting absolutely breathless for mine! IF it was in the Tuesday shipment and IF Steve could get it shipped Wednesday then I might get mine on Friday. But no, probably the next week is my guess. I'm the one who piled on in the second order window and diluted the mix -- but I'm more excited about my Bongo 4H now than ever -- thanks for showing us your bass -- she's a beauty. After seeing yours I know I ordered the right one. Happy sigh.

Ooog -- I just gushed. I never gush. But in fact the Dargies are well worth gushing over. Forget the embarrassment and embrace the excitement! Soon all of us who have been waiting will have our Dargies -- we're almost there!
