Has the fateful date been set yet??? Did I miss something???

Not sure if you know. The FOGGY/DARGIE has actually crossed the border and is at the store. He is letting Easter get in the way of him and his BALL.:D He can't make it this Saturday, but is hoping to get there next Saturday.

I'm planning on going this Saturday, so hopefully I can bribe Paul into letting me take a peek. I wouldn't dare touch it, though. The owner has the right to touch his Balls first.:p

It's looking like next Saturday. I'm looking to see if the family wants to come and make it a weekend trip. At the very least, my daughter will be coming with me as she's one of my biggest guitar supporters.
I'll let you guys know. If I can meet some of you, it would be great. If it doesn't work out, then we'll have to hook up another time.

Scott, Should I be telling Paul to leave that sucker under padlock??? :p Or will I be getting a permission call on Saturday?! ;)

Sadly, I wont be there to witness the festivities foggy, it will have to be another time... maybe when you get your second ball? :)

Hmmm - next Saturday? That sounds good so far - just as long as Winter Part Deux decides to "take off, eh" and give us spring back. Those 400 series highways just aren't the best place to be in snow.....

I was actually going to shoot off a couple of pictures of it tomorrow and torture foggy a bit. But I'm kind of having second thoughts. This is, I believe, Foggy's first major guitar purchase. And round trip, he's probably going to be traveling almost 5 hours to pick up his baby. It's not like he's walking around the corner to the local guitar shop. So when he opens the case I want him to have that wow factor that all of us have experienced. Plus when I picked up my Axis about a month ago the guitar was still wrapped and taped in its protective plastic bag in its case. So I don't think I'd ask Paul to remove it. Now that doesn't mean I can't ask Paul to have a peek. :D

Scott man! Don't sweat it! I appreciate the sentiment though.
If it weren't for you, I wouldn't be getting this Dargie!
Go ahead and torture if you wish!
The drive will be about 3.5 hours each way (depending if my wife's in the car!:p )
Opening up the case for the first time will still be special, because reality will set in very fast!
So if you make it over there, by all means, torture me! ;)

Fogman, I was just re-reading list of the new Balls at Guitar Shop .... I may be too busy drooling over the ALs and dealing with a serious case of b.a.s. to even have a chance to think about sneakin' a peak.:D

but seriously, the wait is definitely worth it. the first time you open the case and see your new axe is like the best feeling .... when I got my first Ball, it was just such an awesome moment.

cheers

Joel
