God I love that, but I wish the sig was on the back...

Me too.....much as I admire Albert Lee I wouldn't let him (or anyone else) near my guitar with a pen.....never quite understood that particular fashion.
Does it increase or decrease the resale value??

just had a close peek, the screws aren't installed 100% in line with each-other, Its the way we got it, and Albert signed it and my '65 Twin at our Miss store when he was chillin' before our clinic last summer..

It probably depends on who has signed it and if the collectors are willing to pay.

For example, if it was signed by Paul McCartney (I've only chosen him because I believe that he doesn't sign anything nowadays) the value would increase, whereas if it were signed by Jimmy B. Love, it would be worthless :D

I think that all depends on who's buying it, how many sigs he's done in his life, how famous he is...........
I love and respect him, but I wouldn't want anyone writing on my guitar unless there was some special reason for it.

Must be an after-sale modification, I don't think any of them left the factory like that...

No Club for You

LOL!!!
Don't get me wrong. Sign the headstock, sign the pickguard, back plate, or photograph....
That sig is in the worse possible spot.
I'd want the guitar to play.
The sig would be gone in 2 hours of play!

Yes, I've seen shops in the USA asking $$$thousands for essentially worthless Chinese guitars signed by whoever.
Suppose it changes the role from "musical instrument" to "collector's item"

Is there a way to just...... say lift the signature with some sort of tape and keep it, and just not have to have it on the guitar?
