At church this morning (Northpoint community church) bass player was playing a Dargie Delight Bongo 5 string HH .

This was my first in the flesh sighting of a Dargie . The Bongo looked great .The way the lights reflected off it was spiritual in itself

Missed the boat on the Dargie orders but I need to take the plunge and get a bongo. The tone was phenomenal and cut right through the mix

Another Dargie Bongo sighting.....

I went out to the Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant last night. The food was not good, by the way.

There was a band called Double Take. I know the drummer.

The bass player had a Squier P-bass.....

But then, out of the crowd, there came another bass player.

With an Ernie Ball t-shirt and shiny new teeth!

Looked like he had cleaned his bass with Wonder Wipes!

There appeared to be a brand new set of Ernie Ball Super Slinky bass strings adorning the Bongo neck!

And there was a "Balls Are Best" sticker on his hard shell case!

He pulled out the Dargie Bongo 4HH and proceeded to "rock the howse" with a modicum of skill.

Banging through three or four classic rock standards in slightly less than rehearsed fashion.

Then he stepped down, finished his plate of mediocre chicken.

Drank the rest of his Jameson & ginger ale.

And disappeared with some red haired, blue eyed girl in a bright yellow Nissan.

Who was that shiny toothed man? :D

I've played my Dargie Delight SR5, Dargie Delight Sterling HS and today my Dargie Bongo 5HH in church.

And rocked with each of them

Glad to know I'm not the only Atlanta area Dargie Bongo owner.

I'm sure it depends on the church...I'm the lead sound tech at my church and you better believe the bass is going to be felt and heard. I realize, though, that it wouldn't fly at most of the churches in my area.

I'm curious...just how much 'cut' is need in a church? :p

When you see North point you'll know . The set up is better than most gigs I've played . Full band . Heavy duty stuff.

To break through the keys , acoustic guit, vocals and lead players a lot of cut is needed .
Espescially when key board players are quite heavy with the left ( bass) hand at times.

Actualy the pic tiffles posted looks extremely similar to the set up
