I was never too keen on hanging my guitars like this, I never even hold my guitars by the neck, so hanging them from it really scarres me.

Also I don't see any problem hanging guitars like that. Every guitar store I've ever been to hangs them like that.

Nice collection of balls there, but I agree with P, would not hang my balls by the neck, and yes guitar shops do it and I cringe every time I step in one, I think the stress on the upper neck and headstock is not good for the guitar, but just my humble opinion. But mainly great axes there

my guitar room is full of wall hangers, but i hardly use them to hang my balls on, i keep them all in their cases now, plus is getting freakin cold here, my balls like to keep warm! not the best feeling to pick up a guitar when its been in a cold room for hours.

We plan to hang ours up once we move (due to lack of case space more than anything, plus they look cool!), and wondered if there's a general consensus on the best ones to buy? They will be put up on an external wall, if that makes any difference.

I like the "String Swing". They seem to be well made and have the soft rubber coating that ensures protection to the headstock. Also the little rubber discs keep the guitar in place. Plus they look nice with the oak base.

Those are the ones I have and I love them, Nice padding, and with the lock I know that the guitar is in the hanger correctly.

Those look cool and robotic. I may grab a couple of those. I'm moving into a new apartment on the 31st and I'd love to hang a couple of guitars. Here's a dumb question: Is it important to find the stud in the wall, or will having long enough screws suffice?
