Hey everyone.

After two weeks of owning an EB. I want another one! I have an EVH and want something that will do strat tones a little more. Would the Silo special do that?? Or a Luke??? Man they are nice.

what do you think? I am new here and never played a luke or Silo

Thanks,

Cheers, Tobin

you better believe a 3 single coil Silo Special will beat a strat to death. The Albert Lee of course does the strat thing magnificently, but the Silo maybe more strat like as it comes with a rosewood fretboard option. I sold my Fender Rory Gallagher strat and will never own a strat again, the EBMM's play better by miles and miles.

I just bought a Tascam DP-01 off ebay and i will post clips very soon, as soon as i get a break from my new dad duties! Ive been dying to post clips of the AL's!!!!

Yes!

That said, I have both a Silo Special SSS and an Albert Lee SSS. I'm very happy with either as a Strat-killer, and I've never played a Strat I like better than either of these guitars. But, in terms of really showing you what a fantastic Strat should sound and play like, I think the AL gets the nod. It's a very special guitar, and the pickups are just brilliant.

Robelinda has a different opinion, but that's because we're both right!

Seriously, you can't go wrong with either.

I'd say either Silo Special or an Albert Lee would do the trick man. These guys won't steer you wrong man.

Good luck, the GAS is just gonna get worse and worse.

Once you try a silo spec SSS you are going to laugh at strat tones!

Well laugh is not the exact word, I have a lot of respect for the Strat and Fender for what they have bring to music

Like Forest Gumb, I would say Sillo SSS is different...better in fact :D

Absolutely. Even if the tone wasn't that much better, EBMM quality blows the doors off F***er. Who need more headaches in life?

My 2005 Limited Edition Buttercream Silhouette Special SSS has more vintage vibe than I know what to do with :)
