i had a flame EVH once, but i just didnt like it compared to the quilts....its not that the flame looked bad, it is just a personal preference thing

I'm not a fan of flame on a flat top (like an EVH/Axis), but I think they look great on a carved top or a body w/ some curves, like a JP or Luke.

I'm not complaining, I was just being honest. To be honest, the guitar is so great that I don't mind the flame. I preferred quilt, but it was by no means a 'deal breaker'. BP and crew, great job, everyone who has played it and seen it today was blown away!

And yes, it is one of the nicest flames I've seen, I do consider myself lucky
